
Since its inception, more than 100 students have received grants to support their studies, and many have gone on to work in the media, including The Seattle Times, The Los Angeles Times, CBS News annual credit report free Bowling Green and MSN.com. Students at accredited colleges and universities in Washington state who have demonstrated interest in journalism are eligible to apply. The Seattle Founders Scholarship was established in 2000 to honor Frank Abe, Ron Chew and Lori Matsukawa, who founded the AAJA Seattle chapter in 1985. The scholarship covers registration and airfare (as chapter funds allow) to the national AAJA convention.
